How can you determine what is your purpose in life? How can you live a life trying to help everybody and not getting anything in return?
Day by day I try to be the best person I can by doing good to other. Making others smile and look at the world in a different way and I'm happy doing it. But there is a time in my life that I questioned and wondered, what is my purpose in life? And a bunch of things go thru my mind and I just let it go. Some people “help” others for money, fame, recognition and other ways to be noticeable. And I ask myself, for what?
When you help someone you do it from the heart. Give them that strength they were looking for with a simple act of kindness. Even a conversation and giving that person an honest opinion can change their way of thinking. At the moment they might seem surprised, but then they will realize that is for their own good. Others are in denial; don't want to accept the truth even if it smacked them in the face. With those types of people you need to work with them nice and slow. Show them the way to being in peace with themselves. Taking baby steps and kind words, because slowly but surely they will get the hang of it and be happy.
I write because that is the only way I can help others, because believe me I am not rich. And if I was I would be helping those in need. I try to send a word of understanding and peace. Some of you take it and others just read over it. But at least they read it and shared it with others.
Believe me that I have learned a lot with those people that have liked my blogs and give me feedback. Gives me a chance to be part of their life for at least five minutes, understand how they have survived with their suffering and pain. Trying to share to the world thru my blogs how they made it or how successful they have become. And that is the best satisfaction ever. I don't want fame for helping others but when you share my blogs to the world that brings a smile to my face.
So if you ever wonder, what is your purpose in life? Just smile and give a lending hand and smile when you are done because nothing should make you happier than helping those in need. Remember it does not have to be a physical help (like moving stuff or doing physical labor), just active listening and being there for that person can brighten their day too.
