Obesity - A huge problem.

I find my self in a position that I can say that I am hefty. I have gained a lot of weight from back in the days. Being able to run 12 miles and exercise like crazy was awesome. Running a physical training in the Civil Air Patrol was something I looked forward every Saturday morning. And doing my physical training test at the AFROTC back in college was the best thing ever. And now I feel awful of the way I feel.

But as time passes I find my self looking for better ways to enjoy life. Be able to lose weight and stay fit. But not having the time right now its kind of hard. I know it's just excuses. But I have started by not drinking and eating certain things. Which I know they were bad for my health. I have also quit smoking which I won't lie I do get cravings. And I understand they are bad for my health.

Haven't been to a fast food restaurant like for almost three weeks. I have been eating at home cooking good meals which I truly enjoy. At work I go for the salad with water. And while I'm at my desk I like to drink some lemon tea. Yes I cheat and add some sugar. It's just a small process until I can get used to that raw dry taste.

I look around me and all I see is FAT and way skinny people. I understand that some people are big boned and others naturally skinny. That is not a problem. A problem is when you start eating with out no control. Fall in a eating depression that you believe that the world is against you. Or you look in the mirror and say "I am fat" and you only weigh 120 pounds wet. And you decide to chunk everything you just ate out. And that is a huge problem too.

It's not only affecting us the adults, but is really affecting our kids. Our loved ones. Bringing a huge wide spread of medical conditions on an early age. We need to incorporate a healthy plan on outside activities
for our children. I am not saying not to treat our kids to ice cream or even a happy meal once in a blue moon. But there are food that they will love and enjoy. So let us study our children and have them try different fruits and vegetables. They might enjoy more than what you think.


As an adult there are ways that you can be fit and lose weight in a healthy way. Not eating is not the solution. Injecting your self is the worse thing you can ever do to your body. There are natural ways. Some people might think that "Oh so I have to start eating grass, I am not a bunny". No you don't have to eat "grass". Fruits, vegetables, chicken, pasta; the secret is the way you prepare these meals. Greasy foods will clog your arteries. But it's all up to you.
