I'm truly happy to see that other people want to learn an extra language and they make that effort. Looking for online classes or buying a textbook, even if you download an app or take classes in campus that is a huge step to success and makes a lot of difference in your future. It might even land you that dream job.
It makes me wonder sometimes of those individuals who have the resources or advantages to learn that extra language and don't even make the effort. They don't even bother with learning that extra language.
I understand when they say "You in America you need to learn the language if not get out of here". But why instead of bitching about the situation why not help that person learn that extra language. I was watching an episode in Netflix called Undercover Boss and the owner of the company did't even know how to communicate with his employees. Pretty sad? Yes. They had to communicate by reading a translation dictionary that was provided to them as soon they got the job. But the boss understood the importance of learning the language (which I won't say which one it is). And opened a learning fund so everyone could learn that skill and have it under their belt.
Just be proactive and take the time to learn that extra language that might in the future be a great and strong tool. Remember you look smarter and the pay is great.
