Eating Healthy. Is the right choice.

On rare occasion I like to have a nice salad, no meat and no artificial flavors. Also enjoying the taste of some cucumbers with salt and pepper. And now that I decided to leave coffee and start drinking tea with some sugar. I know I should drink it all natural, but I am trying to make a change. I am also eating a banana every morning. Which I have noticed that it gives me energy during the day. Started drinking more water, which I have to get used to.

On the meal side I try not to eat lunch due to the fact that I only have 30 minutes. But once a blue moon I eat some soup or some crackers. A total body transformation one step at a time. Not really doing it all at once. Plus hopefully start doing exercise next month. Having back issues doesn't help either. But I am determined to lose some weight.

I have friends on Facebook that have decided to go all vegan. And I respect that 100 percent. But me being puertorican it will be hard to leave meat. Which I won’t I just have to eat smarter. Leaving the fast food aside, washing and making sure my meats are clean before I cook them. Not frying but roasting my meats. Seasoning to the taste and that is it.

Why you ask? Because my daughters. I want to be able to play with them without being short of breath or pay for it at night when I’m trying to rest. Plus I’m 33 years old with a whole life ahead of me. Sports and extracurricular activities I will get in shape and at least lose 25 to 30 pounds. Looking at people around me that are older than me and look out of shape scares me. I don’t really want to reach that point of my life and then giving up.
Life is only one and if being healthy will get me a couple of more years with my beautiful girls. So be it. Even though I am not going vegan but I will eat more greens (vegetables) than reds (meats).

If you have to decide what you want to do with your life and don’t know yet. Well decide to make a change and lose weight. But do it the right way. Eating healthy and exercising. That is the only way you will be able to make a difference not only for you but for your family.
